So why do we think the Rogue Dual Motor is the best all round golf scooter and is the only one we keep in stock.
Firstly, I am the owner of the business and have spent many years testing multiple options to get around the golf course without walking. In my opinion the Voltrium range of scooters are by a very wide margin the best scooters for the golf course or just for having fun.
Here are a few reasons why:
- Build quality, you won't find better for the price. The whole range is built to last, and you will not find any better in this price bracket or much higher price brackets for that matter.
- Portability, they fold down so are very easy to fit in a hatch or wagon. Weight, they are light for a golf scooter, as little as 35kg.
- Warranty and after-sales service are the best in class. With a 2-year battery warranty and 3 years on your scooter they back their product.
- We service and repair your scooter right here in Tassie or if your interstate there are dealers all over Australia to fix any problem.
We recommend the Rogue Dual Motor because it has plenty of power to do the job but not over the top and with a standard battery it is a comfortable weight for lifting in and out of your vehicle.
- Power, honestly this thing will haul ass if you put it in its top gear. For golf a high top speed is not really required. It can do over 50kph but for the golf course you really only need 20-25kph, anything above that gets a bit scary. This scooter has 3 modes and 5 settings for each mode so it can be dialed into whatever speed you're comfortable with.
- Torque, the Voltrium Dual Motor has enough pulling power to pull 125kg up nearly any incline.
- As the name says it's dual motor and they are hub motors so super quiet (especially good for the course). Much better than the rear drive chain driven models (more grip and less noise)
- Honestly stick with the standard 20ah battery it keeps the weight down (35Kg) and will do one round of golf comfortably and probably two rounds if your course is not too steep. I made the mistake of going for a much bigger battery and regret it every time I lift it in and out of my vehicle (mine is 50kg). It just adds weight and is of no use because how often do you really play 36 holes in one day.
We do have other Voltrium scooters listed on our website which we currently don’t keep on hand. However, we can have them in store or ship them direct to you in as little as a week. I will list some pros and cons for each of those models below. Also please feel free to call us (03 6245 9102) to discuss your scootering needs so we can get the right scooter for you.
Pros: More power & torque – only recommended if your golf course has a lot of steep hills and you are on the heavier side. (Over 120kg)
Cons: Its heavier (42kg) it's more expensive.
Pros: It's cheaper and the same weight. Its actually a very good scooter for the golf course for the budget conscience people.
Cons: it's noisier (its chain driven rear wheel drive) but not over the top, the hub motor versions a virtually silent. Less torque & power but will be fine for most except 120kg+ golfers and very steep golf courses.
Pros: Same price as the Rogue Dual Motor and has a little more power and torque.
Cons: Again, it's noisier (its chain driven rear wheel drive) Its heavier and the extra power & torque is not really needed unless you are 120kg+ and your course is very steep.
All the above scooters except the one we recommend (Rogue Dual Motor) can be ordered with larger batteries. Once again, we don’t recommend doing this unless you often play two rounds of golf back-to-back. It's expensive for the larger batteries and in my opinion adds unnecessary weight.
Please feel free to call into the store to view our scooters and to have a chat about the best scooter to suit your needs or call us on 03 6245 9102 to do the same.
P.s There are also other models with less power suitable for children/young adults or just adults looking for a quality built and portable light weight scooter. We don't list them on our website as they are not suitable for golf and thats what we are about. We can certainly order them in for you in as little as a week if you want a great scooter with great warranty.
If you want fun and power Voltrium do a hyper model, 0-60kph in 3.5 seconds "wowee" Its around $3500 and definately overpowered for the golf course unless you want to play 18 holes in 30 minutes lol. But if your looking for an absolutely awesome street scooter with fantastic build quality and mind blowing power & torque then hit us up and we can have you one in as little as a week.
